It has been a proud weekend for Rangiora High School rugby. Current 1st XV players James Mullan, and Harris McRobbie, were members of the cohort of 50 secondary school students selected for the two NZ U18 Barbarians sides. Mullan was in the Whetton 15, that defeated McRobbie’s Haden 15, 57-20. Two more Rangiora High School 1st XV players also played for the Crusader Knights last weekend. Tama Nicholas and Charlie Barrett featured for the Knights in their match against the Highlanders U18’s, however they were defeated 17-42. And former Rangiora High School student Lewis Ponini made his debut for the Canterbury Rugby team, alongside another former student Fletcher Newell, in their match against Manawatu. They picked up the win 34-10.
